Job DescriptionAs a Manager, Data Engineering, you will lead cross-functional teams that design data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers. You will drive identifying priorities and establish working relationships within the business with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as grooming and mentoring a team of more junior team members. Responsibilities include: · Applies knowledge of systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across multiple domains spanning broader enterprise· Collaborates with client teams to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems· Uses in-depth knowledge on Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands and experience designing & optimizing queries to build scalable, modular, and efficient data pipelines· Uses advanced programming skills in Python, Java or any of the major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems· Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards· Experiments with available tools and advice on new tools in order to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use case· Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of own team and related teams, identifying and resolving technical, operational and team problems· Executes business area plans and priorities to meet goals applying knowledge of business drivers, related areas and external markets to maximize contribution to business results. · Applies knowledge of business drivers, related areas and external markets to maximize contribution to business resultsRequired Qualifications· 7 or more years of progressively complex related experience, building and implementing data transformation and processing solutions using Bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX CommandsCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
