Title: Senior .NET Architect Consultant

Location: REMOTE IN THE U.S.

ICS, a Korn Ferry company, is looking for Senior .NET Architect, with .NET Core and ORM Entity Framework experience, to join our growing client's team as they focus on digital transformation across the organization. We are looking for a high-level consultant to act as a Subject Matter Expert to assess their in-house platform, address challenges, and make recommendations on improvements. This position demands a self-managed individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and enjoys collaborating with others. Candidate is required to apply depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and insurance business focused discussions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Leads and performs architecture, system design, and development efforts such as analysis, design, coding/creating, and testing.
• Participates in testing, implementation, maintenance, and escalated support of most complex solutions.
• Ensures adherence to company and industry standards.
• Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
• Participate in planning, estimation, tracking and demoing activities.
• Performs code reviews and testing activities to move high quality code from dev to production environments.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
• Acts as an Agile champion.
• Responsible for development and developing automated tests, and supporting integration and functional testing.
• Responsible for providing warranty support and providing knowledge transfer to production support.
• Develops code in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Hands on expertise with ORM Entity Framework Expertise
• 5 or more years of architecture and development experience with .NET Core 3.1 and EF Core 3.1
• Visual Studio 2019 plus
• Visual Studio 2022 Database projects
• PDF generation and merge expertise
• Azure Cloud App Development
• Expertise with cloud application refactoring will be huge plus.
• Understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, mobile first and future friendly design.

• Knowledge of design patterns and object oriented concepts.
• In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
• Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
• Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices.
• Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
• Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
• Insurance services (MGA related) business experience, knowledge is a plus
• Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling) is a plus.
