A meal Prep company specializing in meals for the elderly is looking for a Kitchen Manager as it expends operation into the Dallas/FW area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a "go-getter attitude", who is willing to do what's needed to get involved with an operation from the ground up.
Duties include:
- Hiring, supervising and training kitchen staff
- Leading kitchen and production
- Purchasing supplies
- Prioritizing and ability to meet deadlines
- Food quality control
- Pricing menu items in collaboration with executive chef
- Establish portion sizes
Requirements:
- Previous experience in managing kitchens and knowledge of food safety
- Ability to work unsupervised and independently
- Cooking experience (cooking for senior citizens a plus)
- Familiarity with different cousins, flavors and cooking techniques
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to patiently mentor kitchen staff with minimal experience
- High standards of cleanliness
