Help Wanted: Cooks & Servers for South Fork Cafe’s New Location!
South Fork Cafe is expanding! We’re opening our second location and looking for dedicated cooks and servers to join our team. If you have a passion for great food, friendly service, and a fast-paced breakfast & lunch environment, we want to hear from you!
Original recipes, fresh ingredients and quality food are at the foundation of South Fork Cafe. Our line cooks work quickly and efficiently to bring those original recipes to life and wow our guests with the best breakfast in town. Job responsibilities include preparing ingredients for service, cooking menu items according to South Fork Cafe recipes, setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies and maintaining a clean line.
Line Cook Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Previous experience in a culinary role within the food industry is preferred.
Must be able to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen.
Are able to communicate well with others and believe in the importance of teamwork.
Are responsible for delivering high-quality, safe food in a fast-paced kitchen.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized station.
Must have a Texas Food Handler Certification.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
A fast and friendly server can turn a first-time guest into a lifelong regular. At South Fork Cafe, our servers are committed to going above and beyond to provide exceptional service and ensure that every guest has an enjoyable dining experience. Job responsibilities include: greeting guests, taking and delivering guests’ orders, anticipating and responding to guests’ needs in a prompt and friendly manner, processing guests’ payments and, of course, inviting them back to South Fork Cafe.
Servers Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Must have excellent customer service skills, be able to multitask, and thrive in a busy, upbeat atmosphere.
Experience preferred, but we’re willing to train motivated individuals.
Support fellow team members at every opportunity and believe in the power of teamwork.
Treat customers and team with kindness and respect.
Serve safe high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
Must have a Texas Food Handler Certification.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
At South Fork Cafe our dishwashers are behind-the-scenes team players that do a lot more than push dishes through a machine. Our dishwashers help us offer a safe and sanitary dining experience to our guests and make the whole of South Fork Cafes operation possible. Job responsibilities include providing the cooks and dining room staff the ability to serve our guests with clean, sanitized dishes, small wares and silverware.
Dishwasher Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Run the dishwasher and ensure it's clean and working properly.
Wash and dry dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
Sort and stack dishes.
Kitchen maintenance such as emptying trashcans, cleaning, sweeping, and scrubbing floors.
Maintaining a clean and organized dish area.
Dishwashers need to be physically fit and may also be required to stand for long periods and lift and hold heavy items.
