What You Will Do:
The Regional Engineer (RE) reports to an Engineering Manager and is responsible for the design and analysis of projects.
Responsible for direct communication and coordination of design projects for a specific geographic region with the Regional Manager and oversight of the assigned Engineering team.
Attendance at weekly engineering meetings to discuss the status of design work for assigned region with the Engineering Manager.
Perform the timely engineering design and analysis of all products, with assistance of senior engineers where necessary, in innovative and cost saving methods.
Utilization of predetermined methods to perform the structural design and analysis of various products.
Ability to communicate with and incorporate information supplied by the owner to develop the horizontal and vertical geometric layout for the various products.
Identify design issues between company products and owner documents; coordinate with appropriate internal and external contacts
Visualize and create the necessary details pertinent to the development of the construction plans and shop drawings.
Provide quality control of all design and drafting work in region of responsibility.
The inputting of the wall draw program and drafting of wall elevation views and details for bid and final projects based on data provided by the owner.
Use of the quantity extract program and other facilities to prepare and/or review material takeoffs.
Perform extra-department responsibilities assigned by Engineering Manager in areas of administration, human resources and training, technical standards and design tools, product packages, and/or procedures and standardization.
Education and Work Requirements:
Perform supervisory/leadership role to entry level design engineers
Multiple years of geotechnical or structural civil engineering experience preferred
Obtain engineering experience necessary to obtain professional licensure; ability to obtain a PE desired (if not already received)
