Brief Description:
This is a 30-36 hour / week medical assistant position in a pediatrician's office. The hours would be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Days may run slightly longer depending on the number of patients who need to be seen that day.

Responsibilities:
Preparing patient exam rooms before appointment and maintaining tidiness afterwards
Obtaining and documenting vital signs, weight, and basic medical history
Tracking inventory of various medical supplies including vaccinations
Administering oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous vaccinations
Obtaining specimens for strep, flu, mono, and urinalysis testing
Performing vision/hearing screens, ear wash lavage
Front desk tasks including answering phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling patients, copying/scanning, light billing duties, etc.
Required Work Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years in a pediatrician's office
Ability to administer vaccines to young children is a must
Required Skills:
Experience with Epic electronic medical record preferred
Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and integrity
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Willingness to learn, be taught, and flexibility
Required Education:
Certificate or Diploma in Medical Assisting
High School Diploma
