JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a friendly, warm-hearted caregiver/driver to assist our beloved 90-year-old Japanese mother, who is experiencing short-term memory loss. While she is fluent in English, a genuine interest in Japanese culture would be a wonderful bonus! We are located in the North Hi Mount area of Fort Worth, adjacent to the Cultural District.
In addition, we have a family member recovering from a traumatic brain injury who requires support. Our new caregiver will collaborate with her full-time team to work as a team to help with light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Basic ADLs: Dressing, using the toilet, showering, and getting in and out of bed or a chair.
Meal preparation for breakfast and lunch.
A capable driver to take her to doctor’s appointments and outings.
Going out on walks with her to get fresh air and sunlight
Daily reminders, assistance.
Leading in daily chair exercises, physical and mental activities including music.
Checking vitals and charting.
General supervision and support to avoid falls and accidents.
Performing light laundry and housekeeping of her bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
Restocking supplies and Maintaining inventory.
Working as part of a TEAM in Caregiving, including communication and helping others in care.
SCHEDULING
We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 3 days a week, totaling 24-30 hours
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
Fridays: 8:00 AM-4 PM: 8 hours (flexibility to work if doctor’s appointments are later)
Saturdays: 8:00 AM-4 PM: 8 hours
Sundays: 8:00 AM-4PM: 8 hours
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance.
- Comfortable performing light housekeeping duties (keeping rooms tidy, laundry, caring for cats).
- Comfortable in an one-on-one care-giving setting
- Ability to be a driver to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
- Willingness to work in a family home with multiple cats and assist with their care.
- Encouraging socialization and participation in community activities
- Strong communication skills with family, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Interest in Japanese culture or language is a plus.

Starting wage of $17 with eligibility for performance-based salary increase after 90 days of employment and evaluation.
