We are a expanding our foot print in the DFW market and looking to add to our team the following Position:
Primary Job function:
Build wooden crates, skids, pallets & assist as needed in make ready for shipment.
Responsibilities & duties:
Ensure finished crates & all produced products are of good quality as per GCC standards.
Maintain clean & safe working area.
Maintain clean & functional equipment as provided.
Assist other carpenters & packers with assigned duties.
Assist in other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Demonstrate safe lifting techniques & adhere to full compliance of all safety regulations & polices.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team safety driven environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge / Skill:
Good verbal & written communication
Ability to follow detailed instructions & procedures.
Ability to prioritize work based: safety, quality & productive demands.
Ability to use hand & power tools, working knowledge with nail guns, staple guns, drills, saws etc.
Ability to apply basic math as it relates to measurements.
Ability to operate a forklift & pallet jack.
Experience:
Crating building
Power & hand tools
Fork Lift operations
Working Conditions:
Ability to stand, bend, squat, knell and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. throughout a shift.
