We are Titanic Logistics. www.titaniclogistics.com We operate in Fort Worth, Texas. We are hiring for the position of delivery drivers and are building a team of both drivers and leaders to lead the team members. We want military veterans to join our team as we are also a veteran friendly employer and have served in the military ourselves. You only need a standard driver’s license with a good driving record to drive with us.
A day in the life of the delivery driver:
You will drive a delivery van full of packages that will be delivered in the Fort Worth area. You will load the packages at the distribution facility. Most packages weigh 5 lbs., but some can weigh as much as 50 lbs. A delivery route typically sees about 150 to 200 stops, and the van carries about 150 to 225 packages for the daily route. We have many packages to deliver. So we need you to drive on our team. We generally start the day in the morning from 6:00 to 11 am. The van operators deliver the packages throughout the day and return to the distribution facility in the afternoon when complete. There are opportunities to deliver additional packages and earn additional income based on volume if you wish. You will use a handheld device that tells you where to drive to deliver the next package. It's a smart phone and you simply follow the blue line to get to the destination. It's easy. Drivers work 3 to 4 days per week. You can expect to work 40 hours per week, sometimes more and sometimes less, but generally around the 40 hour mark. Full time employment is 30 hours per week or more.
This job is not stressful. If you are methodical and can be comfortable operating on your own with constant tracking and encouragement for your delivery day, you will be successful. You are also responsible for the integrity of the van, so we need you to be safe and deliberate in your driving. You will operate your van on your own all day, and be in phone and text communication with the team. The job will require you to walk from the van to the delivery house or business, so you will get in and out of the van hundreds of times each day. You will generally walk between 5 to 8 miles each day with all the stops.

We are a drug free environment and have to abide by the rules of our insurance carrier. So, we cannot employ drivers with significant driving issues such as DUIs or DWIs or excessive accidents or tickets in your driving history. We also randomly drug test all our employees including the initial employment drug test.

We are growing and need drivers. As we grow, we will need small unit leaders to serve as team leaders, squad leaders and operations leaders. Everyone in this company drives a delivery van. Our core business is in package delivery so please understand that our expectation of all our operators and leaders is to drive a van and deliver packages daily. We deliver in the areas of Fort Worth, Southlake, Denton, and Keller, Texas daily. Our motor pool and distribution facility are on the north side of Fort Worth. Candidates relocating to Fort Worth from other locations can expect to find ample living accommodations, housing areas, schools, neighborhoods, apartment complexes and communities to support your family's living needs. We do have arrangements with realtors and apartment complexes to help you in your relocation search for your family.
