Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76119
Job Type: Full-Time or Contract
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our fleet of Volvo VNL 860/760 trucks (D13 engines) and Wabash 53’ dry van trailers. All equipment is 2020–2024
As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for on-site inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs while ensuring fleet reliability and safety.
Responsibilities
Drive to job sites and perform equipment inspections
Conduct preventative maintenance:
Oil changes
Brake service
Tire changes
Grease jobs
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Analyze diagnostic test results
Identify and repair:
Air leaks
Coolant leaks
Perform minor repairs and component adjustments
Inspect vehicle lighting and safety systems
Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Manage parts inventory
Keep shop and work areas clean and organized
Replace faulty or worn parts as needed
All other repairs
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience (required)
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field
Physically capable of performing hands-on mechanical work
Valid Driver’s License (required)
Additional Requirements
Must be available to work Saturdays.
