Horse Farm Barn Help Needed
Weatherford area Horse Farm is looking for a responsible Barn helper to assist in the care and maintenance of our horses, for approximately 36-38 hours per week. This is a Hobby Farm and not a performance horse farm. Our animals are pampered members of the family and most are seniors.
Work days are Monday through Saturday starting at 7am for approximately 4 to 5 hours per morning, and three evenings per week for about 2-2.5 hours per evening. Some rain days will require extra evenings but will be compensated accordingly in addition to salary. There is no work required on Sundays.
Duties include stall/barn cleaning, horse feeding and turn out and grooming. Job candidates should have horse care and handling experience, and a love of horses and compassion for animals is a must. Candidates should have reliable transportation, be smoke free and heathy as this is a physical job requiring some lifting and physical exertion, it is a great way to stay in shape!
Starting pay is $600 per week, paid weekly in cash, pay raise after 90 days. We are looking for a responsible person close to the Weatherford area, who is looking for long term employment and finds working with horses and working outdoors to be a rewarding experience. You must have a cell phone and reliable personal transportation.
