PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Janitor / Day Porter is part of the Maintenance team. Responsible for building and grounds / parking lot maintenance, as well as janitorial work in common areas of commercial shopping centers at various onsite locations assigned to him/her. The Janitor / Day Porter is the field representative of Texas Maintenance Solutions and maintains a professional personal appearance and business manners.
Janitorial Day Porter responsibilities include:
Ensure proper inventory of supplies and equipment.
Blow/Sweep Sidewalks
Pick up and removal of outdoor loose trash around buildings, walkways, landscaping, and parking lot.
Empty common area trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
Pick up loose trash in rear areas and place in dumpsters.
Wipe off window mullions
Check that vacancy doors are locked
Monitor and clean riser rooms monthly
Provide immediate notification of any emergency conditions encountered.
Willingness to engage in hands-on work when team is short-staffed or behind schedule.
