Experience Required:
Must have extensive experience working cattle
Able to do vaccinations
Mild/general health care, checking herd for general health
Feeding cattle
Know how to watch for heats
Assist embryologist or farrier, as needed
Hauling cattle to the vet, as needed
Picking up feed or supplies, as needed
Be able to fully work cattle through working pens and alleys and be able to operate a chute
General farm maintenance included but not limited to repairing and installing fence, mowing, drag fields
Additional requirements for job applicants include:
Must live local to Paradise, Texas - housing will not be provided
Must be reliable and if you understand cattle, you know this is a 7-day a week position
You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
You must be physically able to lift 50+ lbs.
Must be able to work both in a supervised and unsupervised manner
Candidate should be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Able to work tractors and hay equipment is a bonus!
