Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in criminal law. The Associate Attorney will work closely with other attorneys and clients to navigate complex legal issues while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and issues.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and case precedents
- Utilize Westlaw for research purposes and case management.
- Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy and litigation plans.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and case developments.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of criminal law
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail.
- Ability to litigate cases confidently in court settings.
- Strong research skills utilizing tools such as Westlaw.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual caseloads.
- A commitment to ethical practice and professional development within the legal field.
