Journey Home Program Manager – Safe Haven

As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women and children each night.

Job Summary
The Journey Home Program Manager – Safe Haven will be responsible for case management activities with all Safe Haven residents. Directly supervise guest services personnel and Safe Haven peer. Duties include program intake, linking and securing guests to mental health, substance abuse, educational, employment, housing, and benefits opportunities. Responsible for ensuring adherence to Safe Haven’s policies and procedures including, overnight passes, curfew, behavioral modification, guest utilization data entry, meals, and volunteer involvement. Also responsible, for incorporating community group services, such as AA/NA groups, support groups, skill-building workshops, and educational sessions. As a member of management, support administrative leadership team including other Journey Home Program Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents of Programs, Finance, Development, and Human Resources, and the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in social service or related field. Master’s degree in Social Work preferred. Minimum of two years supervisory experience in residential environment required.
Must have experience with homeless or transient population and/or residential population experiencing substance abuse disorders or mental illness.
Experience working with diverse and/or difficult populations desired.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Valid driver license and proof of liability insurance is required.
