We are looking for a driven, confident and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate that loves reptiles! You have a passion for reptiles and you love to share your excitement, engage with people, and want to make a positive difference in their lives of reptile ownership. This is done by always providing honest and accurate information with each customer, every time.
The Customer Service position has a strong focus on customer service and sales. Understanding how, why, and when to recommend each product for each reptile species we offer is critical to your success. Being attentive to customers and actively recommending products to ensure the optimal health of their pet is absolutely required.
Job Summary & Requirements:
We are currently seeking 1 full-time and 2 part-time positions with strong customer service skills; prior retail sales experience is a plus. In addition, you must meet the following requirements:
⢠Must have a passion for working with reptiles and an interest to learn to a highly knowledgeable level, and a desire to share this knowledge
⢠Must have a winning/positive attitude (smiling, courteous, etc.)
⢠Must enjoy working with and interacting with people
⢠Must be able to handle complaints in a calm and professional manner and handle dissatisfied customers with poise during difficult situations
⢠Must have excellent communication (written and verbal)
⢠Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculation and be able to follow proper transaction processes (register, cash, credit card, etc.)
⢠Must be able to work under pressure and keep up with customer demand
⢠Must be comfortable handling Snakes and Lizards of all sizes as well as Tarantulas, Scorpions, and rodents (rats and mice)
⢠Must be okay getting your hands dirty while cleaning the reptile terrariums and rodent tubs
⢠Must be able to stock and restock product, including the unloading of pallets and the transport of merchandise
⢠Must be clean and well organized
⢠Must be OK with a flexible work schedule
⢠Must have a valid TX driver's license and an insured vehicle to run errands from time to time
⢠Must be able to lift 50 lbs
⢠Able to bend, twist, squat, push, pull, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch
⢠Must be able to stand all day
You are the frontline face of the company and it is up to you to make sure that each and every customer leaves with a great impression. You will be faced with different customers every day, helping them with their needs and any issues they may have with their pets. Recommending the correct setup and or solution - through proper probing - is critical for the well being of their animals and their overall experience.

HOURS: 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM must have a flexible schedule and be able to work wknds and holidays.
