Warehouse Supervisor accountable for providing clear direction, leadership and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, coaching and on the job assignments. Responsible for overseeing the day-to day-operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles.
- Compile work schedules.
- Examine equipment for damage
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Company regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
- Must be hands ready to fill in when short personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual Spanish -English
- Strong communication, interpersonal skill, leadership and conflict resolution.
- Ability to set priorities , resolve issues and accomplish team objectives.
- Ability to make sound decisions and react quickly to ever changing operational issues.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse management role preferably in the food industry.
- Technical skills using Microsoft program (Word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 55 lb.
- Ability to delegate when assigning employee workloads.
