Boeing Global Services (BGS) P-8 Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) and Health Management System (HMS) team is seeking an Associate Systems Data Analyst 2 to join a dynamic team leading the way in R&M/HMS in Tukwila, WA. Our analysts work in a highly dynamic environment collecting data, analyzing data and making actionable recommendations to enable critical product improvements and support decisions. This position will represent the Sustainment organization to the United States Navy (NAVAIR/NAVSUP/DLA/CPRG), as well as Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA) and Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) integrated product teams (IPTs), as well as international customers. A person in this position must have the ability to work under general direction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform prime Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) and Health Management System (HMS) analysis functions in support of our Navy R&M customer and the Reliability Control Board.
  • Perform data acquisition, management and reporting, to support design, maintenance, logistics, and business development throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Apply analysis results and make recommendations to product teams and system support/supportability, in order to influence design and comply with requirements.
  • Define, develop and implement processes and tools needed to execute system health functions and engineering supportability across the program and to improve productivity, accuracy, quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in change management activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and prepare proposal inputs to support new business opportunities.
  • Perform and document system health validation and verification activities, to assess adherence to specifications.
  • Qualified candidate researches, analyzes, and compiles technical data for company products and system-level concepts in the projected operational environments to optimize effectiveness over the program lifecycle.
  • Apply system processes, methodologies and tools to the design of system of systems, systems and new product development.
  • Derive and develop architectures, functional requirements, refinements and product designs.
  • Assists in the integration of technical, cost, value, risks and specialty engineering considerations into definition of the product. Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives.


This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Tukwila, WA.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance Post Start for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Military Aviation Experience


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Microsoft Access and Visual Basic experience
  • Experience with Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS)
  • Experience interacting with DECKPLATE
  • Knowledge/experience with U.S Navy NEC 6303, 6304, 6305, 6315, or 6314 is desirable.
  • P-8 mission and aircraft systems background
  • Proficiency navigating Boeing commercial maintenance manuals and/or USN IETMs
  • Proficiency interpreting maintenance action forms/work orders
  • Experience with Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS)


Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
