Description:
We are seeking reliable and professional individuals to assist with firewatch security during the upcoming freeze in Dallas, Texas. This is a temporary on-call position designed to ensure the safety and security of properties and personnel during this critical period.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols to monitor for potential fire hazards, including inspecting heating equipment and other high-risk areas.
Identify and respond to water-related emergencies such as busted pipes, leaks, or flooding caused by freezing temperatures.
Monitor vulnerable areas for signs of water damage, including sprinkler systems, plumbing, and other essential infrastructure.
Maintain a clear and accessible path to emergency exits at all times.
Document and report any incidents, including fire hazards, water leaks, or structural damages, promptly to property management or emergency services.
Be prepared to respond quickly to on-call requests and emergencies during the freeze period.
Communicate effectively with property management and emergency response teams to coordinate safety measures.
Requirements:
Must be available to work starting Sunday and throughout the freeze period.
Reliable transportation and the ability to drive in winter storm conditions are required.
Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Previous firewatch or security experience is a plus but not required.
