We are seeking an unarmed security officer - already licensed with a valid Level II security guard card.
The hours are Thursday from 12 midnight to 6:00 am and Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am for a total of 42 hours each week (2 hours overtime).
The hourly rate we will pay is $15.00 an hour.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Duties
Access Control to include enforcing visiting hours at the building.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
Monitor premises through regular patrols (foot patrol and vehicle patrol)
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques.
Document incidents accurately in reports and maintain records of daily activities.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations.
Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities or behaviors.
Requirements
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is a plus.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include standing for long periods or responding quickly in emergencies.
Must already possess a valid Level II security license and have at least one year of unarmed security experience.
