Position Overview:
We have a great high volume independent repair shop that has been in business in Desoto for over 40 years! We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our automotive service and repair team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding service, both over the phone and in person. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently. A hands-on approach to vehicle inspections and repairs, along with prior sales experience, will be an asset in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome customers and assist with scheduling appointments, as well as vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, explaining vehicle maintenance and repair needs in a clear and informative manner.
Carefully listen to customer concerns and accurately record the vehicle's issues and service history.
Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and services, answering any questions and clarifying details.
Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs are completed promptly and keep customers informed of any delays or updates.
Offer additional services or maintenance packages based on the customer's vehicle needs and requirements.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace, including the reception area and service desk.
Assist with vehicle inspections, basic diagnostics, and repairs when needed, using a hands-on approach.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns or questions.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
Experience in customer service or sales, ideally within the automotive field.
Strong interpersonal skills with a warm and approachable demeanor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to assist with vehicle maintenance and inspections.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications or training are a plus.
Pay: $60,000 - $100,000 per year (Base Salary + Commission)
