We are a small, niche dealership buying and selling wheelchair accessible vehicles and we have a position available for a general mechanic with experience in general car repair. The position is 40 hours a week, pay is $30 per clock hour, not flag hour. Since we work on our own vehicles, there is no flag hour, and there is no pressure except you must be efficient with your skills and overall willingness to be a part of the team. We are small, you’ll be the second technician to make two (I’m the first one serving as the service manager and your lead). Must have valid Texas drivers license, important. Paid time off after 1 year. Must have your own tools. We typically work on the same models repeatedly…Honda, Toyota, Chrysler primarily, with some Ford and GM. These are mostly clean and straight vehicles when we get them, made 100% ready to go by us, we are proud to sell good roadworthy vehicles, and they just happen to be handicapped accessible at that. Most repairs repeat with brakes, struts, trans filters, motor mounts, occasional Chrysler cylinder head or leaking timing cover, everything else that needs fixed. Be expected to learn the handicap conversion stuff, we will show you, it’s not difficult
If you are an experienced mobility tech, even better. Let’s talk.
