Company Description
ProFinish Autoworks is an automotive reconditioning company that subcontracts auto body painters to dealerships throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. All work is performed on-site and out of a mobile-detailing trailer. This is not a body shop position.
Role Description
Painter will be responsible for priming, sanding, and painting vehicles. Work is mostly rear and front bumpers. Other responsibilities may include using equipment to remove old paint or rust, mixing paint colors to match the vehicle's original shade, and applying paint to vehicles using a spray gun or touch-up brush. This is a subcontract (1099) position, paid bi-weekly, at a fixed percentage rate.
Qualifications
Experience in automotive painting with a thorough knowledge of the techniques and principles involved in spray-painting cars.
Ability to identify paint codes and mix paint to match the original color of a vehicle.
Knowledge of sanding techniques and ability to prepare surfaces for painting.
Ability to properly use and maintain spray guns and other painting equipment.
Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ipad proficient.
