Collision Tech needed in Desoto

30 yr. old, NON-DRP shop seeks Body Tech. If you are experienced and tired of the flat rate pay race, this could be a good opportunity for you. We are not the average body shop. Quality is the number one concern. We fix vehicles to the best of human ability. We are NOT a production shop. We VERY rarely use junkyard of aftermarket parts. We do not grade you on how much you did, but how well and efficiently you did it. We are a small shop with 1 Paint Tech and 1 Body Tech. Our attention to detail is the reason for the shop's success for so long. Most vehicles we repair are high end European vehicles. We have data for instructions to assist in the disassembly and reassembly and do require that OEM procedures are followed. We do not repair heavy frame damage or severely structurally damaged vehicles and do not build panels out of body filler. We are a proud parts changing shop. We will repair small to medium size dents depending on the degree of difficulty and composite of the panel, as well as other factors. We are well equipped enough to do the repairs that are asked of you. We do pre-repair electronic frame measuring for blueprint and safety purposes. You can be trained with the equipment for this.

Requirements:

-At least 5 years minimum experience

-Must have your own sufficient tools for the job such as hand tools, impacts, sanders, etc.

-Good reading comprehension

-Must be able to perform mechanical duties relative to collision damage: AC/suspension/computer pre and post scanning

and some diagnostics

-Language: English

-Reliable transportation

-Good work ethics

-Team oriented: willing to do certain duties such as checking parts, keeping work area clean, helping with vehicle

deliveries, when needed.

A or B techs will be considered. This is an hourly pay position based on experience. You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week (must be present), whether business is slow or not. OT is offered when the workload permits. We do not work on weekends but will allow it when overtime opportunities are available, but it is never mandatory. You qualify for 10 paid days off to use for sick pay, holidays, etc., and 1-week paid vacation, after 90 days of employment. We do not offer health insurance or retirement benefits at this time.
