Generator service company is looking to hire two entry level technicians to be trained in the Power generation field. Anyone and everyone who meets the requirements listed below are encouraged to apply. On-Site Power Systems will provide on the job training and candidates will be provided a service vehicle, uniforms, company phone and laptop. This position is a career opportunity with the intention of becoming long term employees upon completion of training. Your initial employment will be on a 90 day probation period and after that time, we will sit down and discuss your progress and decide if you will be a right fit for continued employment. If accepted for a permanent position, candidates will be sent to a week long technical school to obtain a certification. Any background or experience in mechanical or electrical is a plus and can increase starting pay. Compensation is hourly with pay being bi-weekly. Benefits included health, vision & dental. Looking for driven and hard working candidates willing to learn. Working hours are Monday through Friday with the occasional weekend job throughout the year. Job does require some travel throughout the state of Texas and food/lodging will provided during those time. When level 1 training is complete, candidates will be treated as remote techs and allowed to take their service vehicles home. Your start/stop time for the work day will then be based on when you leave your residence and when you return to your residence. Job Duties:
Generator Preventative & Maintenance (Diesel, Natural Gas & Propane)
Engine oil & filter changes
Automatic Transfer Switch testing & service
Resistive load bank testing
Generator Installations
Respond to service calls
Familiar with NFPA 110 requirements
Job requirements:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong safety background
Familiar with Microsoft excel
Ability to adapt to ever-changing situations
Ability to work effectively alone and within a team setting
Must pass a drug and background check
Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement
