Small but growing company servicing the DFW metroplex seeking Trailer Mechanics and Welders for part time work.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition.
Duties
- Candidate will work mostly off site at clients location
- Perform routine maintenance on trailers, including inspecting brakes, wheels, and other components
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trailers
- Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid future issues
- Troubleshoot and repair brake systems
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Experience
- Experience in fabrication and estimating a plus
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of automotive repair and brake systems
- Familiarity with farm machinery maintenance is a plus
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and educate client on most efficient and economical remedy to resolve and troubleshoot issues
Qualifications
- Automotive diagnostics and repair experience
- Welding skills, including stick and/or wire welding
- Customer service background
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques
- Experience in brake repair and construction estimating
- Mechanical knowledge and hand tool proficiency
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour / DOE
Flexible schedule (as needed)
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
Experience:
Welding: 2 years (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
