Starting Pay: $65,000/year
Key Responsibilities
Lead crews in daily underground utility installation (pipe laying, trenching, backfilling, manholes, connections).
Review plans and assign tasks to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
Operate equipment and assist with work as needed.
Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance.
Coordinate with Superintendent/Project Manager on schedule, materials, and field needs.
Inspect work for proper installation and quality.
Keep accurate daily reports of labor, equipment, and materials.
Communicate with inspectors and site representatives.
Train and mentor crew members.
Qualifications
3+ years underground utility construction experience (water, sewer, storm).
Proven leadership as Leadman, Foreman, or similar.
Skilled in utility installation methods, equipment, and blueprint reading.
Hands-on experience with trenching, pipe laying, and connections.
Strong communication and crew leadership skills.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
OSHA 10/30 and First Aid/CPR preferred.
