Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Senior Community Support Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for seniors to various destinations including medical appointments, grocery stores, community events, and other errands. This role is not just about driving but about making a positive impact in the lives of the seniors we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport seniors to and from various locations in a timely manner.
Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, including handling walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids.
Provide friendly and supportive companionship during trips.
Maintain accurate records of travel schedules, vehicle maintenance, and client information.
Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, sanitized, and well-maintained.
Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with team members and participate in regular meetings.
Respond to any special needs or requests from clients with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in a driving role; experience in a caregiving role is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist the elderly.
Ability to operate various types of vehicles and mobility aid equipment.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
