Please note: This is NOT a standard Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM position. The role requires flexibility, including some long days, occasional weekend work, and be on call 24/7, as the business provides support to a customer (FedEx) that operates around the clock, 360+ days a year. However, we strive to accommodate schedule flexibility whenever circumstances permit.

PAY & BENEFITS:

$1500.00-$2000.00/Week. $80,000.00-$100,000.00/Year.

OPERATIONS MANAGER/BUSINESS CONTACT JOB DUTIES:

Lead a team of 18+ drivers

Route planning - Responsible for understanding and estimating the daily service needs of FedEx and its customers, scheduling drivers according to hours of service guidelines, managing equipment needs, dispatching drivers, and optimizing routes for efficiency.

Monitor delivery exceptions and resolve complaints received

Responsible for hiring, terminating, coaching, training, recognizing and rewarding, performance evaluation, discipline, addressing driver concerns, and staff productivity

Ensure an adequate number of drivers is maintained to complete all assigned runs; manage employee schedules, including workforce planning, vacations, and time off

Management and use of some technology and applications such as GroundCloud, VEDR, scanner, and FRO (route planning software) - training provided if needed

Resolve Truck breakdown situations and manage routine maintenance and repairs of vehicles

Record and report timesheets for payroll

Assume the role as a driver for “clean-up" or "fill-in" as needed

Perform weekly team safety meetings as well as one-on-one training as needed. Ensure proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections are being performed. Proper documentation and reporting of accidents

Track performance throughout the day with a focus on Safety, Service Level & Efficiency. Analyze operational data, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions

Provide ongoing support and assistance to drivers via calls or messaging app, including documentation and communication with the terminal

Promote a culture of safety and ensure drivers complete all safety training

Report daily/weekly to upper management to ensure routes and procedures are running efficiently

P&L Responsibility – Maximize revenue and minimize expenses to meet financial goals

Maintain an excellent relationship with FedEx terminal management. Daily check-ins and timely response to their inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Verifiable 3+ years of Operations, Logistics or Route Management, preferably with FedEx or a similar operation (UPS, DHL, Amazon, etc)

Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports

Be a clear and assertive communicator

Previous FedEx experience strongly preferred, experience with UPS, Amazon, or other logistics providers a plus

Have a valid driver license (Class A, B, or C), with a clean driving record (no speeding tickets in the past 2 years, moving violations, or other incidents)

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical

Physically able, willing, and ready to drive a delivery vehicle (Large Step Van or 26-foot Straight truck) and safely deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients

Legal status to work in the USA

English language proficiency
