Full-Time Videographer & Editor (Dallas, TX)
We are a fast-paced, luxury custom home builder based in Dallas, specializing in high-end new construction homes. We’re looking for a talented and creative Videographer & Editor to join our team full-time. This role involves daily visits to construction sites to capture high-quality video content, followed by editing the footage for social media, primarily focusing on Instagram Stories and Reels. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Job Site Visits: Travel to various new construction sites across the Dallas area to capture high-quality video content, documenting the progress of our custom home builds, design work, and behind-the-scenes activities.
- Content Capture: Film dynamic and engaging content using professional equipment, capturing a mix of wide shots, close-ups, and unique angles that highlight the craftsmanship and design of our projects.
- Editing & Post-Production: Edit the captured footage into slick, engaging short-form videos optimized for Instagram Stories and Reels, using trending audio and creative transitions to make the content visually appealing and on-trend.
- Creative Storytelling: Collaborate with the social media team to brainstorm and develop fresh content ideas that align with our brand’s voice and visual style. You’ll be responsible for transforming day-to-day construction updates into captivating stories.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current with the latest trends in social media, video editing, and audio tracks, ensuring our content remains engaging and relevant.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the social media manager, content creators, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and aligned content strategy across all platforms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a videographer and video editor, with a strong portfolio of short-form video content, particularly for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Experience with After Effects or similar for animation is a plus.
- Ability to film high-quality video content with an eye for detail, even in fast-paced environments like construction sites.
Strong understanding of social media trends and an ability to create videos that incorporate trending audio and creative editing techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet daily and weekly content deadlines.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and take direction as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have access to your own professional camera and gimbal equipment. Acceptable brands include DJI, Sony, or Canon.
- Using the most current iPhone for video capture is also acceptable if paired with appropriate stabilization and gimbal equipment.
- Reliable transportation to visit job sites across Dallas on a daily basis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
