Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead and manage our surveying team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Survey Manager, demonstrating strong leadership abilities and technical expertise. This role requires a hands-on approach to overseeing survey crews, technicians, and drafters while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all surveying activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead survey crews, technicians, and drafters, ensuring effective collaboration, performance, and development within the team.
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of surveying projects, from initial cost estimating and proposal preparation to final deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Boundary Analysis and Description Preparation: Conduct thorough boundary analysis and prepare accurate and legally compliant boundary descriptions.
- Client and Office Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and coordination between the office and field teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and other survey software to produce precise and reliable survey drawings and documents.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all surveying work adheres to company standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Survey Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and survey-specific software.
- Strong understanding of boundary analysis, description preparation, and surveying principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
