Position: Wrecker Driver
Location: East Texas
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Compensation: $14-$15/hour plus commission per vehicle
Job Description:
Locos Gringos Pick N Pull is seeking a reliable and professional Wrecker Driver to join our team. This position involves retrieving wrecked and salvage vehicles throughout East Texas within a 30-mile radius of our facility. The ideal candidate will combine strong driving skills with excellent customer service abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate wrecker truck to retrieve vehicles from various locations including wrecker services and private residences
Transport an average of 30-50 vehicles per week, typically hauling 2 vehicles per trip
Interact professionally with customers at pickup locations
Assess vehicle conditions upon arrival and negotiate pricing adjustments when vehicles differ from initial descriptions
Complete accurate paperwork for all vehicle pickups
Maintain wrecker equipment in clean, safe operating condition
Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Ability to operate wrecker/tow truck equipment safely (CDL not required)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions
Negotiation skills and ability to make sound decisions in the field
Physical ability to perform duties including hooking/unhooking vehicles
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to work in various weather conditions
What We Offer:
