Job Description:
We seek a skilled and experienced Carpentry Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and finishing wooden surfaces, including furniture, cabinetry, and structural woodwork. The candidate must be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare wood surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to wood surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Stain and seal wood to enhance its durability and appearance.
Repair and restore woodwork as needed, including touch-ups and refinishing.
Follow blueprints or drawings to ensure accurate work on custom projects.
Ensure the use of appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques to achieve the best finish.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper ventilation during painting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Carpentry Painter or similar role.
Strong knowledge of wood types, finishes, and painting techniques.
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Familiarity with a variety of paint types and stains.
Ability to match and mix colors.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or painting is a plus.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in custom woodworking or cabinetry.
Knowledge of spray painting equipment and techniques.
Basic carpentry skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
