General Summary of Duties: Apply insulating materials to pipes or ductwork, or other mechanical systems in order to help control and maintain temperature.

Essential Functions:
Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, knives, and scissors.
Fit insulation around obstructions and shape insulating materials and protective covering as required.
Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed and methods of insulation based on factors such as surface
shape, location, and use of equipment.
Install sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as
tanks or vessels to help control and maintain temperatures.
Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Experience- Experience in industrial insulation, construction, or carpentry.
Education- High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work overhead.
Ability to perform repetitive movements.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and twist.
Ability to sit, climb, and balance.
Ability to work up to 8 hours in all weather and temperature extremes.
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 25 pounds.
Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
Ability to perform all required tasks.
Work Environment:
Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner.
Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job task safely.
Employee is exposed to dust, noise, and moving mechanical parts.
Employee is exposed to outside weather conditions.
Other Job Information:
This position is Non- Exempt and is subject to overtime pay.
Travel may be required.
This position reports directly to owner of business for daily tasks or projects.
