Social Security Disability solo practitioner seeking a legal assistant for full time employment. Practice focuses on representing persons in obtaining social security benefits and representing clients at social security disability final hearings. Practice expanding into family law and personal injury. Preference will be given to those with prior law firm experience, especially prior family law experience.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual; have either prior experience with the social security administration or prior family law experience; experience with Texas E-File ; request medical records; ability to use acrobat adobe; experience preparing subpoenas; ability to scan and fax; and complete forms.
More importantly, the ideal candidate will posses common sense, be hard working and be a problem solver.
This position is full time and will be mostly in person. Some remote work is possible. Dress is business casual. Firm is located downtown and parking is paid for. The hours are 9-5 or 8-4. Pay is based on experience.
