Job Description: Concrete Floor Coating Technician
Position Overview: A Concrete Floor Coating Technician is responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to concrete floors in various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The technician ensures the floor is properly prepped, the coatings are applied correctly, and the finished result meets quality standards for durability, aesthetics, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Clean and prepare concrete surfaces by removing debris, dirt, oils, and previous coatings.
Perform grinding, shot blasting, or acid etching to ensure proper adhesion of the coating.
Repair cracks, holes, and surface imperfections to achieve a smooth, even surface.
Coating Application:
Mix and apply concrete coatings, such as epoxy, polyurethane, or polyurea, ensuring the right consistency and coverage.
Apply base coats, topcoats, sealants, and finishes according to the project specifications.
Use tools such as rollers, brushes, trowels, and sprayers to ensure even distribution and high-quality finishes.
Safety and Maintenance:
Follow all safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring the worksite is hazard-free.
Maintain and clean equipment used for coating applications.
Ensure that all chemicals and materials are properly handled and stored according to safety standards.
Quality Control:
Inspect surfaces before, during, and after coating application to ensure the final result meets quality and aesthetic standards.

Customer Communication:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.

Education and Certification:
