J&D Turf is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Foreman to lead our installation crews. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in both concrete work and artificial grass installation, and exceptional ability to manage people and equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Management: Directly supervise and manage a crew of 3-5 installers. Assign tasks, oversee the quality of work, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
On-Site Project Execution: Manage all aspects of job site operations, including material staging, equipment management, and adherence to project plans and specifications for both artificial turf and concrete installations.
Equipment Operation & Transport: Safely operate, maintain, and transport heavy equipment, including proficiency in driving a truck and trailer (e.g., pulling skid steers, dump trailers, etc.).
Quality Control & Safety: Conduct regular safety meetings, enforce all company and regulatory safety standards, and ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and quality control on every project.
Client & Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing professional updates. Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role in the construction or landscaping industry.
Concrete Expertise: Demonstrable, hands-on experience with various concrete applications (e.g., forming, pouring, finishing patios, walkways, or curbing).
Artificial Grass Expertise: Significant experience in the complete installation process of artificial turf, including base preparation, seaming, infill, and final grooming.
Driving & Transportation: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. Extensive, verifiable experience operating and maneuvering a truck and trailer.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Knowledge of landscape design principles.
Familiarity with various types of excavation and grading equipment.
