This beloved 210+ bed short term acute care facility located in the Western Texas region is a part of a large state-wide healthcare system, which will offer career stability, growth, and advancement. This growing healthcare facility offers a variety of medical services, including: advanced cardiovascular services, 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, radiology and diagnostic imaging services, comprehensive women’s services, pediatric care, wound care, as well as adult and neonatal intensive care. This facility is a designated trauma center, and continually receives a 5-star rating for its excellence in maternity care. Additionally, this hospital is accredited by the DNV (Det Norske Veritas Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations).

The Nurse Director Case Management will oversee the case management department, to include a team of 6 FTEs: 4 case managers and 2 licensed social workers. The Case Management Nurse Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer to devise facility-wide case management and utilization review policies and procedures, as well as work closely with the Director of Risk Management to evaluate and determine risk management strategies. The Nurse Director of Case Management will be responsible for the coordination and direction of all inpatient care, as well as supervising appropriate authorization, maintaining currency in utilization management guidelines, and providing continual education to staff on care management protocols.

This role is RN-required. Additionally, the Nurse Director Case Management must maintain current knowledge of Interqual and Milliman criteria.
