Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2025 Summer Intern - Operations Engineer. In this role, you will focus on waste elimination, production enabler management, and/or management system development/coaching. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma techniques, business case development, project management, using statistical analysis, and gathering/analyzing data for presentations to leadership.Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Engineering, or a related discipline. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.   • Description: Responsible for implementing the Software Quality Engineering mission to ensure programs have and are compliant to documented processes which meet customer and company requirements and are capable of producing quality software products. The successful applicant will do this independently by performing process, product, and acquisition evaluations, and periodic supplier audits throughout the development, production, and sustainment lifecycles. In addition, the applicant will utilize quality engineering methods, concepts, and software tools to identify, communicate and drive to resolution needed improvements to software development processes. The applicant will provide program senior management with metrics, reports, schedules, estimates for tasking and other support as necessary. Must be willing to travel and work off-shift and weekends, when needed. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.
