Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future!IE Maintenance Services Manager (2103333) – LocationWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to be responsible for providing instrument and electrical engineering leadership for the Freeport Chemical Manufacturing operating areas, as well as providing technical guidance to the I/E/A maintenance group. You will be required to ensure technical support for daily maintenance activities is done and lead your team in design and technical information for maintenance and capital improvements. In addition, you will ensure technical support to Root Cause Failure Analyses and troubleshooting of problems, and hold responsibility for maintenance, testing, and documentation of the site’s SIS infrastructure. Finally, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement.This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your performance in leading a technical team in recommending and implementing changes. Although not required, education and/or experience with Distributive Control Systems (DCS) will be advantageous in this role.Formula for SuccessLeveraging your education in Electrical Engineering or related field and your electrical maintenance and design experience, you will develop and implement the instrumentation maintenance program, including D-risk instruments, tank overfill, and flare control burner management.

Demonstrating your excellent communication skills, you will encourage active participation with internal and external networks to ensure maximum learning through replication of best practices, as well as recommend Training content for crafts to ensure adequate skills to perform their duties.

Your solid interpersonal skills will be essential, as you ensure technology and best practice sharing exchanges between control systems vendors, Production Control Systems Engineers, and their support functions across the site to allow the performance of the control systems and their associated activities to function to their highest level.

Displaying your exceptional leadership skills, you will coach technical personnel and hold them accountable for delivery of results and support mutually agreed upon development needs, as well as lead a team of technical individual contributors to excel in their respective fields. You will also ensure that required technical capabilities are maintained through adequate training and succession planning.

Relying upon your expertise in field of instrumentation, control systems, and plant operations, you will ensure compliance on all Control Systems (DCS, PLC and SIS) to guarantee compliance with Corporate Standards. You will also provide technical leadership and oversight to common I&E services, such as Grounding and Bonding, Thermography, DCS, PLC, SIS, PIMS, PAS, and IT based contracts, as well as ensure that automation roadmaps and security programs are in place.

Your project management skills will be essential, as you implement an incident investigation process including investigation, root cause analysis, action items, documentation and follow-up for non-production related incidents involving their employees, as well as guarantee the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and drive continuous improvement.

Utilizing your robust negotiation skills, you will recognize and develop outside specialty services contractors relating to I & E common issues, as well as ensure first-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner.

Combining your orientation to details and analytical skills, you will establish and monitor defined area maintenance dashboard, metrics and KPIs. You will also ensure development, maintenance, and availability of equipment files, and up to date drawings, including P&IDs, loop drawings, as well as the effective implementation of low & high voltage PM/PdM programs.
