University of Texas medical branch at Galveston or League City – skeletal muscle study volunteers needed
50-65 YEAR OLD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR
MUSCLE RECOVERY RESEARCH
The purpose of the muscle recovery research study is to examine changes in the structure and function of skeletal muscle during periods of disuse and rehabilitation in middle-aged participants.
Phase 1 requires wearing a leg sling and using crutches for 1 week.
Phase 2 requires 2 weeks of supervised rehabilitation.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
Males and females 50-65 years of age
Generally healthy
Can attend multiple weekday study visits at the UTMB Galveston campus over a 6-8 week period.
VOLUNTEERS WILL BE COMPENSATED FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION
