Knowledge of the basic competencies within industries, specific occupations and specific employers, including job readiness, job search etiquette, technical skills and work environment; Develop, coordinate and implement Rapid Response activities for businesses and affected workers; Coordinate efforts with the TWC Field Representative to develop Rapid Response Management on site meetings; Must coordinate orientations for affected staff with the TWC Field Representative, Department of Labor Representative and TAA Staff as needed; May coordinate job search workshop sessions and or Job Fairs; Notifies the board Rapid Response Manager and Business Development Unit immediately upon hearing of an upcoming lay off; Order necessary brochures and handouts from TWC or vendor; prepare other handouts necessary for orientations and job search workshops; maintain sufficient inventory of materials; prepares packets for Rapid Response activities; Develops and maintains activity reports; ensures data is entered timely and accurately into TWIST and WIT; Assists program participants in developing vocational goals reflective of their skills, capabilities and interests. Manages participant progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans. Additional duties as assigned.
