Position Overview
We’re looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant to support bookkeeping, reporting, and special projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced with QuickBooks Online, Excel, and nonprofit accounting.
Responsibilities
Enter transactions and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Enter client bills
Communicate with clients to compile transaction information and receipts
Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis.
Support grant compliance and nonprofit financial reporting.
Assist with special projects (audit prep, donor reports, budget updates).
Communicate effectively in a remote, digital work environment.
Must Haves
2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Experience working with not for profit entities
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong written and digital communication skills.
Nice to Haves
Experience using Bill, Expensify, and Karbon HQ
Experience providing audit and 990 support
Experience managing payroll
Compensation & Schedule
5–10 hours per week (remote, flexible scheduling with some deadlines).
