Clerical Position Requiring Entry Level Bookkeeping Knowledge

Contract accountant for multi-company environment is in need of someone with office clerical skills plus at least entry level bookkeeping knowledge with emphasis on Quickbooks accounting software. Initial phase of the contract position will require clerical abilities to match up vendors invoices with transactional entries on bank and credit card statements. Second phase of the contract will entail coding transactions that have been matched by the use of a detailed numbered chart of accounts. Third and final phase of the contract will entail the posting of these now matched and coded transactions into up to ten (10) sets of books with many transaction requiring the postings into multiple sets of books since they involve inter-company transactions. Estimated duration of the project is from four (4) to Six (6) months. Subsequent to the conclusion of the project; if all parties are agreeable, you may be offered permanent employment by the client company as either a permanent contractor or an employee. Working environment is very casual (warehouse environment). Hours are 8AM - 5PM Monday - Friday (with overtime available before 8AM Monday-Friday) and on weekends.
