Job description:
Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager with leading warehouse related processes and procedures within the Houston, Texas distribution center including mounting assembly, distribution, and inbound logistics for the facility.
Responsibilities
Enforce and abide by all safety, service, and quality requirements.
Actively oversee and lead all warehouse daily operations including shipping, receiving, and mounting production.
Assist Warehouse Manager with monitoring and improving performance of warehouse for inventory accuracy, on time shipment and shipment accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and assign tasks to maximize efficiency of the department.
Organizes and assists directly with all physical inventory and cycle counting processes.
Receive and move inventory in the system as well as process customer orders and work orders in the system.
Provides accurate inventory reports to Warehouse Manager.
Communicates with manager directly to review and resolve any inventory count discrepancies.
Safely operates both sit down and stand-up style forklifts.
Safely operates shrink-wrap machine and other material handling equipment as needed.
Maintain appearance, organization, and safety of the warehouse.
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.
Completes all duties and projects assigned in a timely manner.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education and or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
Experience with shipping, receiving, and pulling orders.
Experience with sit-down and stand-up type forklifts, as well as other warehousing equipment preferred.
Previous industry tire experience preferred.
Supervisory Skills
Responsible for utilizing the company’s time keeping system to monitor employees working hours and approve timesheets by deadlines set forth by HR.
Responsible for accurately tracking and monitoring employees time off while maintaining and adequate workforce.
Evaluate employee performance including attendance tracking, workload capacity, quality, accuracy, and safety.
Provide continuous feedback on employee’s performance throughout the year as well as facilitate yearly performance evaluations.
Responsible for assisting with training new employees into the company.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in English in writing or verbally to co-workers, supervisors, customers, and suppliers in person, email, or via telephone.
Secondary language and writing skills in Spanish required.

Travel / Schedule Requirements
Schedule consists of Monday – Friday, however, schedule is subject to change and fluctuate due to company needs.
Willingness to work overtime or days off as needed or required.
Less than 10% but may be required on occasion.
