We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Houston team — someone who is friendly, organized, and passionate about helping clients through their tax process with professionalism and care.
Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for clients. You’ll assist with inquiries, schedule appointments, process client information, and ensure smooth communication between clients and tax preparers. This role plays a key part in maintaining Trusted Tax Partners’ reputation for excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet clients in person, by phone, and online with a positive and professional attitude.
Handle inbound calls, respond to voicemails, and follow up on client inquiries promptly.
Assist with client check-ins, appointment scheduling, and document submissions.
Provide information about our tax services, pricing, and office policies.
Maintain accurate client records using our CRM and tax software systems.
Track the progress of client filings and follow up on missing or pending documentation.
Support tax preparers by organizing files, ensuring paperwork is complete, and updating client notes.
Handle basic billing questions or payment arrangements under supervision.
Escalate complex or urgent issues to the office manager or senior staff.
Maintain a clean and professional front-office or reception area.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus.
Experience: 1+ years in customer service, office administration, or tax/financial services preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during tax season.
Proficient with computers, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
Bilingual (English + Spanish or Creole) preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range:
Entry-Level: $37,000 – $42,000/year
Mid-Level: $43,000 – $48,000/year
Experienced CSR (Tax Office or Bilingual): $49,000 – $55,000/year
Performance Bonuses: Available during tax season and based on client satisfaction and productivity.

Work Schedule
Tax Season: Monday–Saturday, extended hours may be required.
Off-Season: Flexible or part-time schedule available.
