We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant and Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. This position involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Child Development:
- Observe and assess children's development and learning progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
2. Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that reflects the children's interests and promotes learning.
- Establish and maintain positive behavior management techniques that encourage cooperation and respect among children.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns, through meetings, newsletters, and informal conversations.
4. Health and Safety:
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Adhere to all licensing and regulatory standards related to child care and education.
5. Professional Development:
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development and training.
- Collaborate with other educators to share resources and strategies for enhancing teaching practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
- State certification in early childhood education (if applicable).
- Previous experience working with infants and preschool-aged children.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing, bending, and lifting children as needed.
- The teacher will work in a classroom setting with a group of children, engaging in various activities throughout the day.
