POSITION: CAD DESIGNER AND PERMIT SPECIALIST – Houston market
The CAD DESIGNER proficient in AutoCAD (2020 or newer version) to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes provided by Engineer / field rep. This position requires the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, follow up with team members to finalize projects on a timely manner. Certain jurisdiction interaction for permits and zoning evaluation will be necessary also. Opportunity for growth is offered starting with this position.
The position is work from home currently and may progress to in office in the future.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Highly skilled in AutoCAD 2020 or later version
Associate degree in drafting preferred but will accept previous experience
Wireless structure / Cell site design strongly preferred
Be able to travel to sites to obtain field data.
Be able to make clear and detailed field sketches and notes.
Strong written & oral communication skills are required.
Familiarity with jurisdiction permit requirements and procedures a plus.
Interaction with landlords or property owners to help identify cell site locations etc.
2 + years of experience in related field preferred.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drafting using AutoCAD.
Making field visits to obtain necessary measurements to produce drawings
Creating base drawings & integrating them into drawing sets.
Making corrections to drawings
Plotting drawings
Organizing & filing of project related materials.
Out of town traveling as required.
Quality control review of drawings.
Generate standard details
Other tasks as assigned
