Our client, a leading independent investment management firm, is seeking an experienced IAM Security Architect for a 3+ month contract role in Houston, Texas or Atlanta, Georgia. Candidate must be vaccinated against Covid 19.

The Department
Technical Security function (known as TISO function) manages enterprise security portfolio to support our client’s business and systems. They support the Information Security vision by providing transparency of the current state of our client’s security capabilities; security development in the industry; and a technical roadmap toward our client’s future state. They establish security standards, reference architecture, guidelines; and provide security advisory/assurance services to the company to ensure all IT systems are crafted with accurate security controls in place.

Your Role
The TISO IAM (Identity & Access) role is accountable for driving IAM security initiatives and architecture for the organization. Under limited supervision, the candidate will work with a wide variety of business partners and IT professionals (including IAM and technology solution teams) to ensure organizational security needs/controls are aligned to support business goals and objectives. Though IAM is the main area of focus for this role, each TISO is encouraged to cover other technology domains as needed.

You will be responsible for:
  • Act as a domain expert for advisory, review, and approval of security designs, configurations, baselines, and technical standards
  • Assess the efficiency of IAM security controls and report risk to the security management and risk register. Work on identifying and driving the implementation of appropriate controls, processes, and remediation of non-compliance
  • Provide security advisory services to Information Security / IT on projects & general support matters
  • Own the collaboration between Information Security and Technology teams to support IAM programs
  • Work with partners, IT, and Business to align IAM standards with business goals and objectives
  • Contribute and execute on security strategy, drive IAM projects, and ensure implementation and transition to operational support
  • Assist in research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support IAM driven initiatives
  • Assist security Incident Response and forensic teams in the investigation as required

The experience you bring:
  • Ten plus years IT experience with six-plus years passionate about Security
  • Expert knowledge of IAM technologies such as Directory Services, Federated SSO, IAM Provisioning, 2FA, Password Management, PKI, Privileged Access Management
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as Office 365, Azure AD, AWS IAM
  • Demonstrated experience running an enterprise-wide initiative and understanding all domains of security. Ability to engage with senior leaders to define requirements and implement technology solutions that contribute and reduce risk
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in a technical field, is preferred
  • CISSP (or equivalent) required
  • Azure and AWS certifications preferred
  • TOGAF or Zachman (or equivalent) preferred
