This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced Counseling Psychologist to care for VA members and their families. The Counseling Psychologist focuses on helping individuals cope with emotional, social, and developmental issues by providing therapy and support. They use various therapeutic techniques to promote personal growth, improve mental health, and enhance well-being. Key Responsibilities:Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health issues. Assess and diagnose psychological disorders using interviews, observations, and psychological tests. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs of clients. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in distress. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and treatment options. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in psychology and counseling. Participate in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Engage in community outreach and wellness programs to promote mental health awareness.
